Jay proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Rita Barnes, his parents, and many brothers and sisters.
Jay is survived by his wife, Juanita, children, Terry Yankey (Suzie), Stacey Rivera and Connie Austin (Clyde), his sister, Marie Mattingly, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and family and friends.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitors are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 to 8pm.
