He was born in Louisville in 1933 to the late Henry Roseman Winfield & Ethel Adams Winfield.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Lila Hester Winfield;
his siblings, Annie, Geri, Gladys, Juanita, and Mike; and a dear friend, Jewel Winfield.
Pat worked over 48 years for the railroad in Louisville now CSX, previously known as L&N Railroad.
He served two of these years in the United States Army in the early 1950s.
Left to cherish Pat’s memory include his children, Sharon Winfield (Robert Whiteman) of Louisville and Richard Winfield (Debbie) of Florida; brothers, Glenn Winfield (Linda) and Larry Miller, and many nieces and nephews.
His extended families, Mike Whiteman and Hattie Whiteman and their children, and Marlene (Mike) Smith, Vanessa Carroll and their children.
A visitation for Pat will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40213, with a service to follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pat will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.
