Jane W Lewis

She was born on October 19, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Harry G. Wright and Mary M. (Kolarsky) Wright. Jane grew up in Newton Falls, Ohio until she got married to David N. Lewis and then lived in multiple cities around Ohio and at one point, Washington, DC when David was in the US Air Force. They ended up settling in Dayton, OH where they raised their family with their two sons, Dale and Dan.

Jane worked as an executive secretary at the Ravenna Arsenal in her early years and became a devoted homemaker when her sons Dale and Dan were born. She became a medical transcriptionist, converted paper books to audio for the blind in Indiana, enjoyed playing the piano, the many Sheltie dogs our family had over the years, reading, and above all else cooking for her family and friends, a trait passed down from her mother.

Jane thoroughly enjoyed watching her two sons grow up and start their own families. Jane was elated when her two grandchildren were born, Emma and Aiden and was incredibly proud of their achievements throughout their lives.

Jane was a member of Southeast Christian Church and volunteered helping in the church office after moving to Louisville in 2004. She was one to always put others first and would willingly give her time and efforts to help family, friends, and charitable organizations around her.

In addition to her parents, Harry G. and Mary M. Wright, Jane is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, David N. Lewis, her two younger sisters, Marilyn Wolfgang (Gary), Evelyn Meier (Fred), and brother, Dale Wright.

Jane leaves behind her two sons, Dale A. Lewis (Tami), a granddaughter, Emma Lewis, and Daniel T. Lewis (Tracie), two grandson's, Aiden (Taylor Ann), and Joshua Sanders (Liz), and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends across the U.S.

Funeral Services will be private with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park.
