Jane was born on January 19, 1924 in Central City, KY to the late Andrew C. Morris and Ola P. Engler Morris. She worked for Reynolds Foley Printing and retired from St. John’s Day League at the Masonic Home; where she met her late husband, Marion O. Reed. Jane was a member of the Jeffersontown Baptist Church for many years.
Along with her husband, Marion O. Reed; her sister, Roberta Slaughter England and her husband’s Elwood Slaughter and Woody England; sister, Alice Patricia Morris; and brother, Thomas Calvin Morris and his wife Edulia Morris have preceded her in death. Here to carry on her memory are her children, Stephen Michael Reed, Sr. and Ann Bennette Reed Pachini (Robert); grandchildren, Stephen Michael Reed, Jr. (Candice); Bryan Pachini (Angie), Robbie Pachini (Miranda) and Jason Pachini; and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 2-7pm Wednesday, June 27th at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A service celebrating Jane’s life will take place at 12pm, Thursday, June 28th at the funeral home, with a private burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the KY Humane Society or the Masonic Home of Louisville.
