Mrs. Beard was a retired cook for Jefferson County Public Schools, a member of Kenwood Heights Christian Church, and former member of Buckner Christian Church.
Mrs. Beard was preceded in rest by her husband of 61 years, Jerry L. Beard; a sister, Marilyn; and a brother, Charles.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Randy Beard (Rhonda), David Beard and Stephen Beard (Donna); daughter, Karen Richardson; grandchildren Ryan, Rayanne, Sean, Jacob, Kara, Todd, Daniel, Emily, and Dalton; and great grandchildren Rosemary, Arthur, Ezekiel, Blakely, Annaley, Camden, Jace, and Jaxon.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:30 am at Arch L. Heady & Sons Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Sunday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
