Janice loved playing bingo, bunco, cards, slot machines, sudoku, board games with the girls, dancing, and going fishing. She will be remembered with respect and affection by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Gaither and Charlene Nevin, and her half-sister Dee Dee.
She is survived by her children Crystal Sampson (John), and Deidre Grassi, grandchildren Tre and Aidan Grassi. Her siblings Judy Canary (Lee), and Roxie Glidwell (David), a host of nephews and nieces, and many more family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40219 on March 27, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held afterwards starting at 7:00 pm, with a private committal service to take place at a later time.
