Born on the Fourth of July in 1927, Jean was the daughter of the lates' Emmett L. Patterson & Larcy Lile. A graduate of the Louisville Girls High School Class of 1945, Jean stayed active in the Alumni Club. She was a member of the Crestwood Baptist Church. She was a retired Executive Secretary for South Central Bell as well as a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She dedicated her life to her work and her family. Her family was her life. Although, Jean was reserved, she could often be the life of the party, full of laughter. Jean lived a full life! A life - well - lived!
Besides her parents, Emmett L. & Larcy Patterson; her husband, Glenn S. Rhoades; sister, Joyce Williams; brother - in - law, James D. Williams; niece, Terrie Maron; & nephew - in - law, Duray Hale precede Jean in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Denise (Chris) Duncan; grandchildren, Demi Duncan & Cody (Allie) Duncan; great - grandchildren, Tatum Duncan & Tucker Duncan; brother, Emmett "Sonny" (Betty) Patterson; niece, Debbie Hale; nephews, Mark (Peggy) Patterson & David (Jessica) Patterson; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Jean will be laid to rest in the Garden of Honor of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the Funeral Hour of 2:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers & customary expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in honor of Jean can be directed to the Humane Society or Hosparus.
