Eugenia “Jean” Denise Smith, 91, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. She was born in Hindman, Kentucky on September 18, 1933 to the late Ruie and Leslie Draughn. Jean was a homemaker loving every minute of being a wonderful wife, mom, Mawmaw, and great-Mawmaw! For 20 years, Jean was a loyal walker with the “Jefferson Mall Walking Club”.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ronnie Gaddis; and 5 of her brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 60 years, Fred; sons, Rick Gaddis (Linda), Tony Smith; grandchildren, Morgan Whitley, Brittany Duggan (Patrick), Chase Gaddis (Christine); great-grandchildren, Preston, Parker, Lillian, Quinn, Trinity, Autumn; sister, Norma Slone; and many loving friends and neighbors.
A Memorial Visitation for Jean will be Friday, April 25, 2025 from 1:00pm to 7:00pm with a Prayer Service at 2pm, at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home – Okolona Chapel, 8519 Preston Highway, 40219. Inurnment will be private.
