

Jean A. Taylor went to be with the Lord on the afternoon of December 18, 2021. She lived a long and full life and will be missed by all. Mrs. Taylor is survived by, James F. DeVore, her only child, and his wife Claire, her Grandson, Lt. Col. James M. DeVore and his wife Sarah, and her two Great Grandchildren, Dakota 8 and Chase 6. She was born to Fred and Maggie Amos and had 2 siblings, Bernard and Anna Mae Amos who both preceded her in death. She was married to James Robert DeVore for 25 years and later was married to Major(MK) Taylor till he died leaving her a widow. She was an LPN for 32 years and worked in many different nursing homes in different places/states. Everywhere she worked she received numerous rewards and accolades for her kind and compassionate care which all her patients felt, as well as their families She loved helping out with various functions of the VFW(Veterans of Foreign Wars) and became a life-time member for her volunteer work. One of her claims to fame from her various activities was baking her “Rocky Road Brownies“ which were always devoured and appreciated by all. She was laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens West on the 22 of December 2021. A Memorial visitation will be held for families and friends on Saturday, the 27th of August 2022 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd.
