Jeffery S. Schindler, 46 , Louisville, passed away at Baptist East Hospital on 8/14/14. He was known for dancing to live music, and many sports involving water, both liquid and frozen. From canoeing the palisades of the Kentucky River, to sail boating lakes and oceans, or his supreme passion of turning skies on snow covered trails from Perfect North, Indiana, to Vail, Colorado. Jeff carried a sense of adventure, with a lot of gear, and a loving nature to everyone lucky enough to know him.
After graduation from Marshall County High School, he attended Murray State University. He spent many years gleefully distributing shoes around the southeast before becoming a member of the Schwan's food company sales force in Western, KY then the Louisville area.
He is survived by his father, Dennis J. Schindler, his mother, Alicia C. Allison-Waln, both of Louisville; his brother, Brian K. Schindler of New Jersey; his step-brothers, Nick Waln, Jr. and David Waln, both of Pennsylvania; his step-sister Jennifer Woolfolk of Minnesota; his daughters, Shakira Bell and Kendra Milam- Peña; his granddaughters, Alex and Mika, all from Western, KY; his special friend, Michelle Moore-McIntosh, and many, many, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A private visitation will be held for Jeffery, with a celebration of Jeffery's life at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Center.
Arrangements entrusted with Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home.
