Jeff Coyle 

What a "Best Friend" means... first of all let me start by saying Jeff and I only graduated from Shawnee High School. That's not a bad thing. But what we were taught was more about life, not about how to write a goodbye for now my friend letter!
Jeff and I grew up together literally neighbors  only one house separated us. Life was so much simpler back then. There were no cell phones back then and the home phone was a party line, many times you just had to walk over and knock on the door if you had something to tell your buddy. 
Jeff always kept everyone in line. He valued friendship like kids today value their cell phone, never would he lose it. 
We had a tight group of our friends that we did everything with, from being teammates on the little league team, in the back yard or at Jewel Park,  Salt & Pepper 2 hand touch football teams. Let me just say this I've never seen so many dislocated fingers and broken bones in two hand touch football. 
We had three families that had brothers that were all the same ages. Which meant the young brothers which was Jeff, Jonathan, and my self were always just trying to hold on to the shirt tails of Kevin, David & my brother Eugene.... Im not saying they set the best example!!! Lol 
But the close bound we had could never be broken even over the 42 years that passed. After Jeff left for the military as a Tank Commander and returned home we stayed in touch. His adventures over seas brought a beautiful young women into his life that Jeff was very proud to call his wife. Janet and Jeff had a beautiful daughter together.  
But as this world we live in today does what it does the marriage didn't last. 
Jeff kept moving forward, eventually meeting Jackie while on tour in Brazil. Jeff always wanted a son and Jackie gave him that. Nickolas. 
Jeff Eventually settle down back in his hometown Louisville Kentucky after his military career ended. That's when Jeff and I reconnected after many years. Jeff is my best friend. 

Jeff and I grew up on 40th Street together. When I was in the 3rd grade we were in his front yard throwing a baseball...he could throw much better than me. He told me he could teach me but I moved away. In the 5th grade I moved to 37th street next to Jewel Park and I saw Jeff there playing on a baseball team and I signed up. I didn't get on his team but I did get on his "mother's" team and she coached me. We reminded friends throughout life and recently I booked a trip to Cancun for him. The stories he told about that trip I will cherish forever.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss...A special patient he was to me.  We shared memories about the country life and golfing while at the hospital.  I always would thank him for his service for our country.  No more pain and suffering and at rest you are sir with our father in heaven.  Keep watching over us down here i know you will.  RIP my friend!!  Thoughts and prayers to your family!

I have known Jeff for 22 years, we were married for 17. We share a beautiful son Nick who misses him dearly. Jeff was an amazing man so caring , we still cared for each other all these years. The 9 year cancer battle was the hardest but he fought like a warrior and never showed signs of weakness. I will always love you and be thankful for everything you’ve done for me and I showed my appreciation in life and was privileged to hold your hand until your very last breath. May your way to heaven be filled with light and peace . You were a true genuine soldier that fought your hardest battle and now you are free from pain and cancer. Rest In Peace
