

Martin, Jerald, 83, entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends. Jerry lived life to the fullest! He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was a self-made man, who co-owned and co-founded Martin & McDonald Company. Jerry was an avid fisherman and gardener. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Sandra Pennington and Bonnie McFarland; and sisters, Darlene Edmunds and Joanne Scdoris.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife and best friend of 58 years, Mary Jo Martin; children, Wally Pennington, William Raisor (Helen), Pamela Buster (Tony), Michelle Wade (Matt), and Michael Martin (Laura); 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; siblings, Mike Martin, Bonnie Gass, Valerie Haskins, Neb Simonton, Carol Sheets, and Barbara Cross; honorary daughters, Pam Kvasic and Jennifer Parker; and several other loving family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be Friday at 12:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of the customary forms of expressions, memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's name to Cedar Lake Lodge or Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS), 1906 Goldsmith Lane.
