Dear Sherry,
I am sorry that it has taken me so long to write to you. I have been trying to think of the perfect words to help take your pain away.  I now realize I will never be able to do that.   I do not know what to say other than I am so sorry to hear about Jeremy.  I can't even begin to imagine how much you must hurt.  If there is anything that I can do for you even is it is just listening and being there if you need a shoulder to cry on or a person to yell at, please let me know.
