Jessie M. Vanover

Mrs. Vanover was a native of Hendersonville, TN. She was retired from AT & T Long Lines Division where she served as a Supervisor with 25 years of service. She was also a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Jessie was a long time member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, the Pioneer Bible Class, Women's Missionary Union and the Oasis Club. Mrs. Vanover was also a member of the Louisville Women's Republican Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, former State Representative, Charles W. Vanover. Also preceding her are her parents, Iva Heady Poindexter Williams and Marvin C. Poindexter, Siblings, Paul Poindexter and Hattie Kallaher.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Clemons (Gary), Steve Vanover (Julie),

grandchildren, Heather Monroe (Jordan), Jessica Veith, Charles Vanover, Makenzie Clemons, Wesley and Maura Clemons, great-grandson, Jackson Monroe and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ramona and Bowen McKinney,

numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held Monday 11 am at Walnut Street Baptist Church 1101 South Third Street, Louisville, KY, 40203, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home from 1-8pm Sunday.
