She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to August and Earie (Nix) Schick on August 22, 1953. Jo Ann was a member of the Kentucky Free Trappers and was a seamstress by trade. She loved to craft and sew, making costumes and other items for the Frontier Reenactments she often attended with her husband, John. They rode all over the country on motorcycles, enjoying time spent together travelling and camping. Jo Ann was known to have a vivacious personality and her spunky attitude will be missed by all who knew her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, August William, Jr. and Sarah Mosely.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of just over 54 years, John S. Dolson; her daughter, Michelle Dolson (Michael); 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her brother, Tony Schick; and her beloved Miniature Great Dane, Cowboy.
Jo Ann will be entombed at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
