She was preceded by her husband, John P. Newman Jr., her brothers; John and Russell McCarthy.
Surviving are her children; Liana Lichtefeld, Joella King, Michael Newman (Mazie), and Gregory Newman. Her sister; Mary Jean Towles (Gene). Her sister-in-laws; Ruth & Lynn McCarthy. Her four grandchildren; Jennifer Liebert, Kevin King, Matthew & Phillip Newman. And her loving companion, “Patches” the cat.
Visitation will be held at 4-7 pm Wednesday at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, with a service at 7:00 p.m., and private burial at Calvary Cemetery.
