Joe Ann Smothers

She was preceded in death by her parents,, Clarence and Margaret Friend and her husband, William H. Smothers.

She was a member of South Louisville Christian Church, Shively Lions Club, Eastern Star, Louisville Girls School Alumni Association, Red Hat Society-Queen Mother and a Kentucky Colonel.

She is survived by two daughters, Billi Joe Bailey Miller (Alan) and Misty A. Keathley; six grandchildren, Antoinette Bailey (Jeff Berg), Alexander Bailey (Kristen), Megan Scott, Caitlin Burzynski (Phil), Chelsea Scott (Trey Harper) and Will Davis; one stepgrandson, Brent Miller (Mandy); great-grandchild, Xander; stepgreat-grandchild, Zoey; three sisters-in-law, Jackie Friend, Thelma Doehofer and Elizabeth Jackson and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Joe Ann's life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Kentucky Lions Club Camp Cresendo.
