John B. Mayhew III

John B. Mayhew, III, 56 of Louisville passed from this life on Saturday May 7, 2001 at Kindred Hospital. He was a native of Paintsville, KY, and a former EMT and Fireman for Carbide Industries. He was preceded in death by his father, John B. Mayhew, II. He is survived by his wife, the former Debby Houk; a daughter, Amanda Mayhew; a son, John B. Mayhew, IV; his mother Emaline Mayhew; a brother, Mark Mayhew; and six grandchildren, Nik, Jenny, Taylor, Katie, John V., and Luke; a sister and brother in law, Angie and Victor Jett; a nephew, Hayden; and several other nieces and nephews. A celebration of John’s life will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday at the O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2727 So. 3rd St., with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Monday.
