John R. Rose Jr.

John R. Rose, Jr.,81, of Madison, Tennessee formerly of Louisville passed away August 19, 2010. He was born March 18, 1929 in Avon by the Sea, New Jersey to the late John R. Rose Sr. and Elva Young Rose. He was a retired sales manager with over 45 years of service to Conrail Railroad. He was a member of the Hendersonville First Methodist Church, Marine Corp League, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Eastern Star and a Mason. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Marines.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Helen Ivey Rose; children, Joy Conkwright, Debbie Ballard and Greg Rose; and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Marra Grace, Daniel and Brock.

A celebration of his life will be conducted Monday August 23, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 at the funeral home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Gatewood, Ramsey Burton, Brock Burton, Dave Webbles and Tom Wiggins.
