John Richard Sandifer Sr., 92. Passed away on April 30, 2013. He is preceded in death by his son John R. Sandifer Jr, sisters, Ruby Garrison and Matilda Bradley. Mr. Sandifer is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Irene Sandifer; his children, Frances Sandifer-Cotton(Greg), JoAnn Sandifer-Shelton, Calvin Ray Sandifer, and Michael Dorsey Sr.; grandchildren, Raymone, Doneta(Will), Monesha, and Calvin Jr; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister Louvenia Sandifer, of Huntsville, Alabama. A Funeral Service honoring the life of Mr. Sandifer will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, Visitation will be from 11-2pm on Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made out to Tuskegee Airmen, NAACP Louisville Branch, or Hosparus of Louisville.
