He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn; two children, Pamela (Paul) Hineman and David (Julie); 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Nicole and Whitney Hineman and Eric and Lauren Silvester; a sister, Shirley Schramm of Oregon and the family dog, Max.
Jack worked 30 years for the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. He retired in 1989 from the position of Secretary-Treasurer of Local #911 in Holland, OH. He was a member of UFCW Retirees Club.
An avid fisherman and trap and skeet shooter, he lived by the motto, “to have a friend, you have to be one.”
Donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH.
