John William Weier, 80, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edwin and Geneve Weier on December 9, 1944. John served our country in the US Navy and retired from GE after 30 plus years of service. He was a long-time parishioner at St. Athanasius Catholic Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Janeen Decker.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Bernadette Mateus (David); grandchildren, Nathan Mateus, Hannah Mateus; brother, Edwin Weier; nieces and nephews, Angel Price (Eric), Jerry Decker (Christian), Lori Decker; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Arch L Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Chapel from 10am until the time of his funeral service at 12:30pm. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
