John Allen Wheeler

He was born May 27, 1930 in Louisville, the son of John Winand and Mabel Ruth Wheeler.

John retired from the United States Treasury Department and was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Patsy Wheeler, two daughters, Pamela Anderson (Kelly) and Linda Smith (Johnny); three grandsons, Jared and Luke Anderson and Zachary Smith; his mother-in-law, Ruth Mueller; and his four legged family members, Nosey, Penny Annie, Tootsie and Trixie.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, July 22, 2013 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady Russman and Sons, 1201 E. Oak St. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-5 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Kentucky Humane Society.
