Jonathan Stephens Magrey, 35, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, December 14. He was born on November 13, 1983 in Louisville. Jonathan graduated from Dupont Manual High School in 2002. He was a co-owner of Eden Lawns & Landscapes and was a UK fanatic. He loved the outdoors: traveling, camping and hiking, but nothing compared to the love he had for his son, Jackson.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Jackson Stephens Basset; his parents, Alan and Rhonda (Stephens) Magrey; a sister, Erica Carney (Brandon); a nephew, Lincoln Carney; a grandmother, Janice Stephens; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly and will greatly miss him.
A service to celebrate Jonathan’s life will take place on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, at 10 am, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will accept guests for visitation on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 3pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
