Jong Ja Wade

Jong Ja Wade passed away August 2, 2025 at her residence surrounded by close family. Born November 19, 1937 in Inchon Korea. She was the daughter of Kim Bom Song and Hwang Ai gi. Preceded in death was a son Barry Gillespie granddaughter Naomi Carpenter, sister’s Chung Suki and Chong Wa Song.

She was a loving wife ,mother grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband Mark Wade. Daughters Maria Anderson, Chung Bright (Don Davis) and sons Kim Gillespie, Tom Gillespie. Grandchildren Noah and Sydnie Bright, Arami Smith, Kim Jr. Gillespie, Aaron Gillespie, Stephen Brown , Bethany Roberts. Sister Chin Nam mi, and brother Jin Son . Two nieces three nephews and many great grandchildren.

Jong Ja was a devoted Christian. She had a strong faith in God. There is no doubt that she has descended to be with her heavenly father. She was a hard worker. She was generous and forgiving to others . And truly loved her family. She will be greatly missed, forever in our hearts until we meet again . I love and miss you mommy. Your daughter Chung.

A visitation for will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, with a prayer service to follow beginning at 6:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park on Friday, August 8, at 10:30 AM.
