Steve built his life through steady work and capable hands. He served as a HVAC repair technician and was known as a true handyman, a jack of all trades whose hard work spoke for itself, day after day, in the practical ways he helped and provided.
Music was a lifelong love. Steve played drums throughout his life and found joy in rock, especially the energy and spirit of bands like Sammy Hagar, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix, and ZZ Top.
Above all, Steve was beloved. He cherished the companionship of his two dogs, Minnie and Mojo, and took pride in being a devoted University of Louisville fan. He was also a grandpa to two grandsons, a role that held special meaning in his life.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Steven Bellen II and Gloria Mae Langford Egli; his sister, Janet Bellen, as well as many beloved family members and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amanda Zinner (Brandon); his grandsons, Dylan and Austin Zinner; his sister, Patricia(Mark),and his nephew and close friend Matt; his best friend, John, as well as several nephews and one niece.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Please continue to look on our website for updates on a date, place, and time for that event.
