e was a retired employee of the Ford Motor Co., a member of the U.A.W. and the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Johnson; and a daughter, Mary Jo Johnson. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Kathy) and Gary Johnson (Monica); a sister Judy Karnes; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; nieces, Karen Akers and Cheryl Garas; his extended family and companion, Kathleen Pinkleton; and the Pinkleton family. A service to celebrate Mr. Johnson's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Cemetery in New Albany. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday.
