Joe graduated from Shawnee High School and began his career as a sheet metal apprentice and then as a sheet metal journeyman with Ward Engineering. He continued his employment with Ward and became their superintendant of sheet metal operations. He retired March 1, 2004 after 43 years of service. He was a member of Middletown Christian Church and the Sheet Metal Union Local 110. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965 as an Airman 1st Class in Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Edward and Mary Katherine Jutz. Joe leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 46 years, Sherry Nolan Jutz; a son Eric Jutz, of Louisville and a daughter, Lisa Jutz of Richmond, KY; his beloved father and mother in-law, James and Betty Nolan, of Louisville.
His Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
