

Born to the late Joseph Landry, Sr., and Irene Chaisson Landry, Joseph is also preceded in death by his siblings, Gerry Landry, Janice Herbert, and Gwen Trabeaux (Sonny).
Here to carry on his memory is his precious wife of 69 years, Joyce Lovett Landry; their children Denise Kurk (Chuck), Deanna Mims (David), Dianna Cox (Ron), Robbye Keown (Jimmy), and Tonya "Rocky" Landry (Anne Marie); his grandchildren Shannon Whitlock (Billy), Shelley Bedway, Kyle Kurk (Mina), Ashley Storey (George), Austin Mims, Tyler Mims (Julianne), Joey Keown (Bree), Dustin Keown (Windy), Samantha Ballard (Nick), Kessandra Faith (Matthew) , Ronnie III (Stephanie), and Christopher (Kathy); sixteen great-grandchildren; his brother Rusty Landry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Joseph proudly served in both the Army Reserves and the U.S. Army active duty, and retiring as a Major after 23 years of duty. He was also a paratrooper and served in both Korea and Vietnam. He went on to retire again from Dacus Foods as a Regional Sales Representative after around 30 years of hard work and dedication.
In his spare time, Joseph enjoyed golf, baseball, playing cards, bingo, bunco, and going to the track. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, going to the casino, and attending any sporting event, school activity, or event involving his children and grandchildren. Joseph was very family oriented, spoiling his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 2052 as an Exalted Ruler, the VFW, and American Legion.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218. Visitation will resume on Monday morning at 10:00 AM, and will go on until the funeral service begins at 12:00 PM. Full military honors will be following Joseph's funeral, and he will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Elks Lodge 2052.
