Josephine McGee Massey

Josephine M. Massey (nee McGee) passed away on January 21, 2016 in Louisville, KY at the age of 86. Jo was born February 15, 1929 in Florence, AL to Jim and Irma McGee. She lived in Louisville for 37 years and was a member of the Westport Road Church of Christ in Louisville, KY.

Jo was preceded in death by her late husband, Bill Massey, her parents, her son-in-law (Jim Davis) and her two sisters, Agnes Marks and Evelyn Killen, both of Florence, AL.

Jo was married to her husband, Bill Massey, for 53 years. They have three children, Billie Jo Davis (the late Jim Davis) of Ballwin, MO, Teresa Hoskins (Phil) of Columbia, MO and Brown Massey (Gail) of Louisville, KY.

In addition to her children, Jo is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Matthew Davis (Jamie) and Christopher Davis (Amanda) of Ballwin, MO, Adam Hoskins (Laura Mortensen) of Kansas City, MO, Anna Hoskins of Columbia, MO, Katie Fromholt (Jordan) of Shelbyville, KY and Sara Massey of Louisville, KY. Jo is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, Josie and Wesley Davis, Alexis and Tommy Davis and Brody Fromholt.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday night, January 24th at the Arch Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Monday morning, January 25th at the Westport Road Church of Christ located at 4500 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY and officiated by Arnis Pape.
