Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Lucy Wacker; her first husband John Gilbert Adams; her daughter Valerie Shearer; her sister Delores Mayhan; and her grandson John Shearer.
Here to carry on her memory is her beloved husband of 21 years, Robert "Bob" Gatz; her son Mark Adams (Lisa); grandsons James Shearer (Kristine) and Jason Shearer (Terri); great-grandchildren Ashley Shearer and James Allen Shearer; cousin Karen Genest (Bob); nephew Mark Genest; and a son-in-law Robert Campbell.
A visitation for Joyce will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, with a funeral service in Joyce's honor beginning at 1:00 PM. Joyce will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
