Joyce Marie Dreher Butler

A native of Louisville, Joyce graduated from Atherton High School for Girls. She worked as a secretary for Lincoln Bank & Trust Co. until she began her true calling as a mother, then grandmother and great-grandmother. Her masterful cooking, sewing, and entertaining skills were pure expressions of her love for family and friends. She will always be remembered for her signature gift of joy, which was shown through her loving, caring personality, as well as her great sense of humor and quick wit.

Joyce was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert Butler; her beloved son, Keith Alan Butler; her sister, Doris Ellis; and her brother, Roy Dreher, Jr.

She is survived by her daugthers, Denise Lee (Bob) and Beth Butler (Terry Cauble); granddaughters, Lucia Simpson (Josh), Rachel Reed (Robby); grandsons, Stephen Winders and Robby Lee; great-grandsons, Ethan Reed and Charlie Simpson.

We will always carry her memory in our hearts.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Joyce at 10am Friday, December 27, 2013 at Evergreen Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
