JW Thomasson

JW Thomasson was a Navy Veteran, was very into gardening and his yard work. He loved to play bingo, and was an avid pinochle player, he enjoyed fishing, and travel. He was a man of deep faith, and was very involved in his church, in his union, and active in his community. He cherished his sweet doggie "baby girl" Sandy.

He is preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Thomasson whom he was married to for 70 years, his parents Earl and Ethel Thomasson, brother Wendell Thomasson, sister Agnes Campbell, and son-in-law Thomas Evans.

He is survived by his children Robert Thomasson (Linn), Cheryl Evans, and Dennis Thomasson (Vicki), his sister Maxine Haynes, a host of beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40219 on March 19, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on March 20, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.

A Funeral Service will take place at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at 10:30 am.

A Committal Service will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, on March 20, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
