Karen M. Brewer

She was the co-owner and Vice-President of Wm. L. Brewer & Son Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. with her brother Brian. She was a graduate of Assumption High School.

Karen had a love for Halloween. She was known as the Houston Acres Halloween Lady, and hundreds of people would come from all around to view her decorations.

She is survived by her brother, Brian L. Brewer (Carol); nephews, Jason Brewer, Kyle Brewer (Amanda), Michael Ballard; niece, Kristina Raisch (Dan); her partner of 26 years, Chris Kress; her traveling buddy, Stephanie Schaefer; numerous great nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Lilly.

Preceding her in passing was her parents and her sister, Debbie Ballard (Billy).

A service to celebrate Karen’s life will be held on Monday, June 27th, at 12 noon at the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Sunday, from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Karen's honor to the American Diabetes Association
