Karon McClellan passed away peacefully in Bluffton, South Carolina, on January 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Karon was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William David and Virginia Anna (Cundiff) McClellan on December 27, 1952.

Left to cherish the memory of Karon are siblings, Carol Saunders, Joann Thomas (Jim), Janice Brent (Bob), and Jerry McClellan.

Karon McClellan and Cecil Ramsey had three children; Eric Ramsey (Jessica), Eva Ramsey Atkinson (Wes), and Jennifer Ramsey Hudson (Michael). Karon was delighted to have four grandchildren; Braxton Puckett (Madeline), Sadie Hudson, Liam Atkinson, and Raelynn Ramsey. Karon was also blessed with three great-grandchildren; Marley Puckett, Raegan Puckett, and Sariah Puckett.

Karon was a member of Southeast Christian Church. She worked at several Louisville area hospitals, including Norton Healthcare and Baptist Health Louisville, serving in administrative positions. She also worked several years for Dignity Memorial at Evergreen Funeral Home, where she enjoyed helping families in need. Karon’s laughter was contagious, and her presence could light up a room. Karon enjoyed shopping with her sisters and daughters and spending time together. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Ethley David McClellan and James “Jim” McClellan (Barbara).

Lord, grant Karon eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Visitation will be on January 18, 2025, at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village - 7410 Westport Road Louisville, KY 40222 - from 9:30 am-11:30 am, with a service at 11:30 am.
