She was born March 6, 1923 in Louisville, the daughter of Homer and Lucille Schmidt McDonald. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lawrence D. Whiting Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Lawrence D. Whiting III (Mary) and Samuel K. Whiting; a daughter, Lisa K. Whiting; granddaughters, Laura Baxter, Joy Brisson, Barbara Whiting, Samantha McCormick; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Hanna Brisson, Malcom Wilkerson, Charles and Kiara Baxter; a brother, Donald E. McDonald.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service and Interment will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia.
