

Surrounded by her family, Mrs. Kathleen Elizabeth Moraghan, age 66, of Louisville, finally succumbed to breast cancer after a challenging 2.5 year battle on Wednesday morning. She now rests peacefully in heaven's eternal comfort with God the Almighty Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a loving wife and an admirable mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her strength and resolve in the face of adversity serves as constant inspiration to those who loved her. Her memory and spirit will carry on in the hearts of all those who had the pleasure of being in her life.
She was born March 28, 1945 in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Arthur Blocksidge, Jr. and Ann “Nancy” Hager Blocksidge, both of whom survive.
Kathleen was a graduate of Mt. Mercy College, a member of St. Bernadette Parish and Beta Sigma Phi, Xi Mu Chapter. She was a Teacher.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 44 years, Michael Moraghan; two daughters, Diane Sabo (Larry) and Mary Cary (John); one son, Robert Moraghan (Viktoriya); her parents, Arthur and Ann “Nancy” Blocksidge; grandchildren, Scotty, Walt, Leigh Anne, Patrick, Jonathon, Taylor, Julian, Daemian, and Makena; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Aiden; three brothers, Art, Jim, and Hugh Blocksidge; sister, Marge Amberik; and a brother-in-law, Pete Daymon.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Daymon and a brother-in-law, Gary Amberik.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Drive. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 – 8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
