She was a retired self employed cosmetologist, a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a native of Ohio County, KY.
Mrs. Shields is survived by two daughters, Terri Reid and Debbie Shields; two granddaughters, Kelly Reid and Savannah Shields; and two sisters, Thelma Farris and Joyce Thomas.
Her funeral service will be on Monday, August 27, 2012, at noon at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Service with interment following in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus.
