Kellee was born October 30, 1964, she attended North Bullitt High School, where she played the clarinet in the Marching Band and later attended the Jefferson State Vocational Technical School of Practical Nursing. Kellee was a Firefighter and a Nurse. She was the troop leader for the Scouts. She will be forever remembered for all the love she gave everybody.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida & Frank Orkies; brothers Jack, David and Danny Orkies; niece Sheana Orkies and daughter-in-law, Shelly Lanham-Christal.
She is survived by her husband, David Thompson; children, Patrick "PJ” Strickland (Stevie), Samantha Brumett, James Brumett (Mary), Nikki Brumett (Bryan); 11 Grandkids; brother James “Jimmy” Orkies; sister Becky Orkies; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as so many "adopted" kids!
Visitation for Kellee will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd, followed by cremation.
