

He was born in Orange County, Indiana, on December 13, 1930, to the late Grace and Karl Hawkins.
Kenny was a Navy Veteran during the Korean War, where he served aboard the USS KIDD.
He worked as an electrician at Reynolds Metals in Louisville and went on to retire in 1993. He was a long-time member of the IBEW Local 369 and continued to work for the union until he retired at the age of 89. He truly enjoyed working and his job was a very important part of his life and defined his strong work ethic.
Kenneth loved his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only sibling, Robert G. Hawkins.
Survivors include his daughter Judy Laws (Sebastian) and son Kenneth R. Hawkins; 4 grandchildren, Tonya Lynch (Jason), Paul G. Reed, Jr. (Brandy), Krisy Cochran (Branden); and Kelly Deacon (Tim); and 7 great-grandchildren, Emma and Aiden Lynch, Jaxon and Kennedy Reed, James Hawkins, and Logan and Kesley Deacon.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A graveside service will occur Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.
