Born in Louisville to the late Charles and Gloria Nicoulin, Kenny worked as a sign painter by trade. He worked for many years painting local landmarks like the Phillip Morris Towers, the Cardinals around the University of Louisville Campus, and many local holiday window displays. He was an avid lover of cars and especially loved old Mustangs and Thunderbirds.
He was a Catholic by faith, having attended St. Cecilia School in his youth. He was also well known at the VFW Shawnee Post 193, where he was a bartender for several years.
He is survived his wife of 52 years, Karen Nicoulin; children Kerry Nicoulin, Kelly Phillips (Lonnie) and Kenneth Nicoulin, Jr; siblings Charles “Nicky” Nicoulin, Jr, Greg Nicoulin, and Judy Dant; and grandchildren Zachary, Aidan, Beatrix, and Cooper. He was preceded in death by his brother Frank Nicoulin and sister Pamela Benson.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm Thursday at Advantage Funeral Home – Heady Taylor, 3601 Taylor Blvd. His funeral will be held at 2:00pm Friday at the funeral home, followed by cremation.
