He is survived by his mother, Ute Mina Schabel; his son, Alexander Donald Schabel; and his brothers, David Schabel, Raymond Schabel, and Jody Schabel. Kevin graduated from Moore High School where he was an All Regional soccer player.
A visitation in Kevin's honor will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY, 40218. A graveside service will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
