Larry was a master electrician and worked for Gaylor Electric for 25 years. He was a loving husband and father who always put his family's needs before his own. Larry's hobbies included relaxing in his recliner with his cats, watching TV, and enjoying pretzels with a Coke Zero. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Louisville basketball. He also enjoyed home projects, visiting Lowe's for new tools, and shopping on Amazon on his iPad.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry Sr. and Rose Burdine. Larry is survived by his wife, Shelly Burdine; his children, Emily Burdine and Lauren Burdine; and his siblings, Tina Jones (Martin) and Jimmy Burdine (Sandie). He is also survived by many other extended family members, friends, and his many beloved cats.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
