Larry Harrington Sr.

Larry Joe Harrington, Sr., age 73, passed away on September 13, 2026. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 26, 1953, to Paul and Minnie Harrington. Larry attended Valley High School as a young man and retired from General Electric as a union member. Larry loved to go fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a skilled leather worker, making a lot of items that he used every day. Larry was a special soul, and he cherished his relationship with the Lord. He was so very dedicated to his savior and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Along with his father, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Ralph G. Harrington.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Patricia A. Carter Harrington; his mother, Minnie Simpson Harrington; his sons, Larry J. Harrington, Jr. (Niki), Chris Harrington (Kelly), and Kevin L. Harrington (Melissa); 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; his brothers, Paul L. Harrington (Debbie) and Mark Harrington; his sister, Alaine Carpenter (David); some of the best friends that you could ever ask for, and a host of other beloved family members.

A visitation for Larry will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 1:00PM to 6:00PM. Visitation will resume at the same location on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 2:00PM. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
