Laura Smith, 54, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on January 22, 1971, Laura brought light and laughter into the lives of all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud MawMaw/LoLo, cherished sister, devoted daughter and a treasured friend.
Laura is survived by her beloved husband, Bobby Smith, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and companionship. She was the heart of her family, a devoted mom to her two sons, Larry (Hannah) and Travis (Sydney), and a doting MawMaw to her grandchildren, Hudson, Emory, and Addison (grand-niece) who brought her immeasurable joy.
She is remembered fondly by her mother, sisters, brother, and a wide circle of friends who will miss her warmth, her humor, and her generous spirit.
Laura had a creative soul and a passion for crafting, always making something beautiful with her hands. Sunflowers were her favorite—bright, strong, and full of life—just like she was. She found joy in the simple things: time with family, crafting and provided us with hour long concerts.
Laura's love was unconditional, her laughter contagious, and her legacy one of kind, creativity, and deep devotion to those she loved.
A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on July 11, 2025 visitation 11:00-2:00, funeral at 2:00 PM.
