I met her a couple weeks ago but immediately connected. We were spending time with friends and they left briefly so it was only her and me. I got to know her very well in two or so hours. I identified with her passions and her tortured past but she was so beautiful even though she couldn’t see it and she continued to smile and I loved listening to her. She definitely was an old soul trapped in a young woman’s body. I told her she reminded me of a young Janice Joplin. I had to leave but I gave her a long sisterly hug and kiss on the cheek and asked her to please take care of herself. She made a huge impact on my soul in such a short amount of time. Not just anyone can do that. Never take anything or anyone for granted.

I cannot find the right words to say how sorry I am that you have lost your beautiful Lauren. She was a wonderful girl born into a wonderful family. I will always remember the happy times our families had together when Lauren was young. May God give you the grace to get through this difficult time.

I was Lauren and Alexandria’s teacher at Audubon Traditional.
It is with great sadness that I send my deepest sympathy to everyone who’s mourning her loss.
She was a beautiful girl who lived life to the beat of her own drum.

I'm Lauren's recent neighbor,. No words can express the emptiness in my heart. She has been trying so hard to be successful and independent.. I'm honored to be a friend to such a kind soul. I meet Lauren when she knocked in my door to bring me Gatorade and cough drops when I was sick. I will have a place in my heart for her always....
