

She had a passion for fishing and loved music. From Bluegrass to Rock & Roll and everything in between. To know Laurie is to love her. She was a genuine friend to all who knew her.
Laurie is preceded in death by her parents, Patricker Bueker Sr. and Barbara Baier and sister, Lisa Decamp.
She is survived by her life partner, George Pompeo and her sons, Joshua Walden and Aaron Walden and step son, Chad Walden. Sisters, Danielle Bueker, Bridget Bueker (Gary Lord), Linda Bueker, Janie Bueker and a brother, Patrick Bueker Jr. She's also survived by her devoted crazy cat, Paddy. Sometimes she would confuse him by calling him "Bob."
The family would like to give a special thanks to Laurie's care giver, Elizabeth, and the staff at Hosparus Health for their care and comfort provided during Laurie's time of illness. Thank you to The Hitching Post Inn and Annie's Pizza for their kindness and generosity. There will be a gathering at the Hitching Post Inn with a release of 60 balloons, one representing each year of her life. Complimentary pizza while it lasts and beverages up to 3:30 PM.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 11-12 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218. A funeral service will take place following the visitation on Saturday starting at 12 PM in Heady-Resthaven's Chapel. The celebration of Laurie's life will continue at The Hitching Post Inn, 7314 Fegenbush Lane, Louisville, KY 40228. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
