Aunt LaVerne was a true lady. I was always impressed with her hospitality while at her home. When I was a teenager and was dating Ray we would go to her home on Christmas Day and truly enjoy our time in her festively decorated basement with family. I never saw her when she didn't seem happy. In our lakehouse we have a sign which reads "There is always room for one more." This is a secret to you "kids", but whenever I look at it I think of your mother. I hope you hold that thought with you because I have NEVER forgotten how kind she was to others. In our foyer at home I have wedding pictures hanging; your Mom was the last surviving person in Ray's parents' wedding picture. She was so pretty. She had it all, inner and outer beauty.

Momma Beaven was a sweet Blessing from God! I am so happy I had her in my life. She brought me much joy and meaning as only a Mother could do. I loved her very much and she will always hold a special place in my heart.

I'm very sorry for the loss of Aunt Laverne. While I did not know her well, I have fond memories of visiting with my father as a boy. I hope everyone is holding up well during this difficult time.
