LaVerne B. Wilding, 85, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East. She was born on April 23, 1925 to the late Edward H. Nietert and Bertha Weissert Nietert. She was retired from LG&E, a member of the Purity Chapter #116 of the Eastern Star, Am Vets Ladies Auxiliary Daniel Boone Post #1, and American Legion Auxiliary Highland Post #201. She was a founding member of Trinity United Church of Christ and a member of 4th Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Wilding Sr. and a daughter, Carol Lynn Wilding.
She is survived by her children, Denise M. (Kevin) Brown, Kenneth C.(Kathy) Wilding Jr., and Duane A. (Stephanie)Wilding; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 at the funeral home.
