He was an Insurance Agent and was retired from AAA. Larry was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Louisville. The family would like to thank Dr. Patrick Williams, Rhonda Casey and Tracy Wortham for the loving care they provided Larry.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Reid Hartung; 2 children, Jeffrey Hartung (Bronwyn) and Karen Fackler (Mark); mother, Shirley Koch; sister, Sherron Sherrard (Everett); brother, Steve Hartung (Ericka); sister, Laura Paulley; six grandsons, Samuel, Dixon, Liam, Gregory Hartung, Gage and Hagan Fackler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Avenue. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 2-4 on Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial gifts to the Oldham County Historical Society or the Creasy Mahan Nature Preserve or any charity that supports Pancreatic Cancer Research.
